How to Register as a Remote Online Notary in Florida


1- You must apply to become a notary public in Florida. If you are a commissioned Florida notary, click here for instructions on registering as a remote online notary (midterm). 

2- Review the statutes and rules related to remote online notaries public.

3- Complete a two-hour online notary training course. You will need the course Certificate of Completion to register as a remote online notary.

4- Contract with a remote online notarization (RON) service provider whose technology complies with Florida remote online notary law.

5- Obtain a $25,000 notary bond and a $25,000 notary errors and omissions (E&O) insurance policy.

6- Submit a notarized RON application form, an Online Notary Public information form, a copy of your notary commission certificate, notary bond, E/O insurance policy, and our RON course Certificate of Completion, and a $10 registration fee to the Florida Department of State.
